Half my career was spent inside agencies, working across verticals and project types, learning how these engagements actually run. The timelines, the client dynamics, the pressure to ship something good on a budget that doesn't always make that easy. That experience shapes how I work and how I fit into a team.
These days I come in from the outside, but it rarely feels that way for long. I'm in their systems, on the calls, often leading them. I follow their timelines and run my own work. At the agencies I've worked with longest, it feels a lot like being part of the team.
Right Arrow exists because clients keep asking.
I didn't set out to build a consultancy. After leaving agency life, four contacts reached out in the same week asking if I'd take on individual projects. I said yes, the work went well, and those clients referred me to someone else. That's still how it works.
What I care about is being the kind of resource that actually solves the problem. Accessible, no big vendor process, scoped to what's needed. At the end of every project I can say with confidence that the outcome is meaningfully better than it would have been without me. That's enough.
